Front Counter Server

Breka Bakery & Café is expanding! We are looking for dynamic, friendly, and proactive Front Counter Servers to join our lively team.  Key Responsibilities

Customer Greeting:  Warmly welcome every customer, answer menu questions, and assist customers with orders or special requests.

Customer Experience:  Provide attentive, friendly service so every customer leaves with a lasting, positive impression.

Beverage Preparation:  Prepare coffee and beverages following Breka’s recipes and quality standards.

Food and Pastry Service: Serve and package pastries with care for quality and presentation, and heat and serve food items according to store procedures.

Product Display Restocking: Restock and organize the showcases to keep them clean, full, and visually appealing.

Supply Organization: Receive deliveries and properly organize store supplies in designated storage area.

Order Processing and POS:  Handle in-store and online orders and process payments accurately using the POS system.

Store Cleanliness:  Maintain clean customer seating areas and workspaces, including cleaning washrooms, removing garbage, washing dishes, and performing general cleaning duties as needed.

  • Maintains a customer-first approach by being attentive, approachable, and helpful throughout each shift.

  • Takes responsibility for every task, works independently, and ensures work is completed with care and consistency.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while staying organized and attentive to detail.

  • Respects coworkers, supports the team, and contributes to a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Ready to jump in wherever needed, whether preparing drinks, assisting with orders, serving guests, or keeping the cafe clean and inviting.

  • Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Shifts & Hours

  • Day Shift: Between 6 AM and 11 PM

  • Overnight Shift: Between 10 PM and 7 AM

  • Full-time (30–40 hours/week), Part-time (over 20 hours/week)

  • Minimum 3 or 4 shifts required per week

  • Must be available to work for a minimum of 8 consecutive months – This position is not for a short term!

  • Open availability is preferred

  • Available on weekends/holidays

  • Ability to help cover overnight shifts when required
