There’s much to love about Breka Bakery & Cafe, since they’re affordable and open around the clock. Fans of their three locations know and love them for their baked goods, seating, old school bakery vibe, and free wifi.

I’ve always wondered if there are others in Metro who make as good (and cheap) of a Bienenstich as Breka.

My friend surprised me with a late graduation gift of cake from Breka Bakery! Yum!
— CONSTANT CRAVINGS

Besides their hours, Breka is unequivocally one of the best bakeries in town.

Most importantly, look for kifles (or kuffles). These crescent-shaped pastries are wrapped around cream cheese fillings and dusted with cinnamon and sugar.

After perusing the plethora of drool inducing options available I settled on a chocolate almond croissant! This was delicious! (...) The interior is filled with chocolate, which melts from the heat, making it soft and gooey! The croissant is flaky, buttery, and crispy.

I was told by a friend that they excel in donuts so I decided to try their apple fritter. WOW was she ever right. The crunchy exterior from the honey glaze and the soft and subtle centre with chunks of apple and cinnamon surely did not disappoint. I was trying to contain myself from eating it on the drive home!
— GREAT FOOD MEDIOCRE COMPANY

I couldn’t find fault with it. All the stars were within: breads, pastries, cakes, muffins, croissants, quiches, tarts, donuts, sandwiches, and all the customary hot and cold drinks. The cafe area was a good size and the prices very reasonable, less than other cafes in town.
— LATTES & SCONES

Not that into sweets? Not to worry, savory baked goods are a thing, and they’re way better than a dried-out taquito. Munch down on some sausage rolls, just don’t forget to pick up a few for the morning.

We split the smoked meat panini, which was a very generous portion and more than enough for two people to share. It was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a while. Perfectly crisped, freshly baked bread. Juicy, tender filling. And just the right amount of greens and spread that doesn’t distract from the main Montreal smoke flavor.
